What a day for the Savannah Rumrunners! They shellacked the Colorado 14ers
pitching for 16 runs while Roosevelt Davis(3-4)with bullpen help allowed
Colorado 4 runs.
Savannah jumped on top of Colorado in the 3rd inning when they tallied 5 runs
on 4 hits. That was all Davis needed. Savannah bats were very productive in
the 3rd inning which saw them score 5 runs on 4 hits and the 9th inning when
they had 7 runs on 4 hits. Colorado was out-hit by Savannah, 15 hits to 10.
Joe Genewich(2-2) took the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 8
runs in 7 innings.
