The Galifrey Time Lords ended a long winless drought and edged the Bristol
Blasters at Fenway Park by the score of 4 to 3.
Galifrey delivered all the runs required in the 1st inning scoring 4 runners
on 5 hits. That scoring would be all that was needed. Galifrey rapped out
11 hits for the night.
Bob Purkey(6-6) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Art
Fowler recorded his 13th save. The losing pitcher was Jack Kralick(3-9). He
got hammered, allowing 10 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
The win by Galifrey is a very welcome one as they have been struggling in
recent days. Their record now stands at 30-25 - only 1-9 in their last ten
games. Steve Sustakowski was unhappy with his club's recent performance.
'We can't keep losing games' he said. 'It gets to be embarrassing after a
while.'
