Savannah came up with 5 runs in the top of the 5th inning when they came up
with 3 base hits. The highlight belonged to Bob Fothergill who quieted the
home crowd when he tripled emptying the bases. Savannah rapped out 17 hits
for the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Trent(3-6) who allowed 4 runs for the game. Firpo
Marberry(0-2) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 7 runs in 6 innings and
saw his ERA increase from 4.97 to 6.75.
