In a thriller the Cincinatti Royalty staged a dramatic comeback over the
Mid-World Bumblers winning by a score of 6 to 5 at The Palace.

Cincinatti scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs utilizing 3 base hits.  Tris Speaker opened up the inning nicely when he
stroked a base-hit.  After an out was recorded, Dick Lundy came to bat and
slapped a one-base hit.  Larry Brown then reached on an error which brought
home a run.  Bernie Neis was up next and he ripped a single resulting in an
exciting win for Cincinatti and a wild post-game celebration by the home town
fans.  Overall Cincinatti out-hit Mid-World 15 to 10.  

William Bell(3-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Hal
Goldsmith(0-2) was hit with the loss in relief.  John O'Neal was ebullient
after the game, 'It's great to win a hard fought game like that.  Our guys
just weren't going to be denied.  And did you see the fans - they were going
wild! Yes sir, a very enjoyable win this afternoon!'
