Red Lucas had an impressive outing as the Colorado 14ers defeated the The
Little Feat in 10 innings 2 to 1 at Lowell George Park.
Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Colorado
prevailed in the 10th inning. Chaney White drew a walk. White was running
on the next pitch and he stole second. After an out was recorded, Mel Ott
then stroked a single. Willie Wells stepped in and he hit a sacrifice fly
scoring the run. Colorado finished with 7 hits in the victory.
Lucas(3-4) lasted until the end allowing 1 run for the win. Art Mills(0-3) was
given the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and 1 hit in 1 inning.
