29,625 fans were treated to a fine game at The Rum Cellar as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The The Little Feat ended a long
winless drought and won by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.
In the top of the 3rd inning The Little scored 2 runs. Savannah had a chance
to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
The victory was credited to Luis Tiant(2-2) who went 5 innings, allowing 1
run. Kent Tekulve got the save, his 6th. Jim Slaton(1-5) ended up with the
loss.
'Wow. That's about all I can think to say.' said John Demijistre following
the victory. 'If ever a team needed a win, it was us.'
