At Candelstick Park the Minnesota Loons put 5 runs on the scoreboard in the
3rd inning and outdistanced the New Jersey Jackals by a final score of 9 to
5.

Milt May enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He stroked a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, doubled bringing in two baserunners in the 3rd inning and rifled a
three-run blast in the 4th inning.  Minnesota finished with 12 hits while New
Jersey ended up with 6.  

The win was credited to Andy Hassler(3-4) who went 7 innings allowing 5 runs.
Bob Miller recorded his 1st save.  Jim Colborn(3-3) was charged with the
loss.  He was knocked around by Minnesota, allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 4
and 1/3 innings.
