Jon Nunnally connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI and Randy Johnson mowed
down 13 St Paul batters as the Pittsburgh Bichipoos defeated the St Paul
Saints 7 to 4 at The Couch.
Johnson(5-0) pitched well for Pittsburgh in their victory. He allowed 8 hits
and 5 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings. Pittsburgh finished with 9 hits in the
victory.
Johnson got relief help from Mike Cather who gained credit for his 1st save.
Juan Guzman(0-1) was the loser. Danny Murtaugh was asked about the
performance of Johnson, 'He had his good stuff out there tonight. The fans
really get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to
give him even more adrenalin.'
