Fernando Arroyo went 6 solid innings and third baseman Larry Parrish jacked
one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as the Pittsburgh Bichipoos defeated
the Bristol Blasters by the score of 10 to 5 at The Couch.
Bristol found themselves trailing quickly as the Pittsburgh bats came through
in the first inning when they scored 2 runs on 3 hits. Pittsburgh totaled 9
hits on the night.
Arroyo(2-2) went 6 innings allowing no runs for the win. Arroyo was helped out
by Ken Clay who recorded his 1st save. The loss was charged to Jerry
Reuss(1-4). He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings allowing 5 hits and 2
walks.
'Thankfully we got ourselves a win', Arroyo said. 'It's great to be back on
the winning side of things.'
