WEB GEMS- Top 4th: Larry Doby robbed Clyde McNeal of an extra base hit.

Walker Cooper slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at The Palace as the Cincinnati
Royalty won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Pinch Quicks by the
count of 7 to 6.

Cincinnati had the winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs on 3 base hits.
Ralph Kiner opened up the inning nicely when he was walked intentionally.
Larry Doby followed next and he hit a single. After an out was recorded, Ray
Dandridge then delivered a base-hit bringing in a run. Floyd Baker came up
and he ripped a single giving Cincinnati the win as 46,870 happy fans
joyfully celebrated. Cincinnati finished with 12 hits while Pinch ended up
with 9.

Satchel Paige(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. The
losing pitcher was Martiniano Garay(1-2) in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an
inning and surrendered 3 hits and no walks.

'What a game!,' Paige said afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't
believe it!'
