WEB GEMS- Top 5th: Bill Regan robbed Paul Waner of a base hit.
The The Little Feat and the Savannah Rumrunners locked up in an exciting
one-run game at The Rum Cellar. The final score was the The Little Feat 10,
the Savannah Rumrunners 9.
The Little brought 5 runs across the plate in the top of the 7th inning when
they came up with 6 base hits. It was enough to earn the victory. Savannah
had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Corner Pocket Yokely(7-1) allowed 7 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the
victory. Yokely got relief help from Foster Edwards who gained credit for his
2nd save. Lefty Grove(2-6) was the loser in relief.
Blackbeard Teach was reflective after the loss, 'We should have won this one,
we just made one too many mistakes. Son-of-a-gun, that added a couple more
white hairs on this noggin of mine.'
