Roger Bailey had a strong outing and Albert Belle jacked one out of the
ballyard and had 2 RBI at Dodger Stadium as the Sterling Silver Sluggers beat
the Savannah Rumrunners by the count of 6 to 2.
Savannah was unable to claim the lead after Sterling went ahead in the top of
the 5th inning scoring one runner on 2 base hits. Sterling ended up with 14
hits for the game while Savannah had 5.
Bailey(1-0) allowed 1 run in 5 innings, and picked up the victory. Doug
Brocail earned the save, his 1st. Mark Gardner(2-1) was hit with the loss.
He was unable to control the Sterling offense and allowed 8 hits and 4 walks
in 5 and 1/3 innings.

victory. 'If ever a team needed a win, it was us.'
