Dennis Leonard(5-1) had a solid outing for Michigan. He went 8 innings
surrendering 7 hits and 2 walks. Bumpass tried unsuccessfully to come back
in the 9th.
Gene Garber earned his 6th save. Glenn Abbott(2-1) was the losing pitcher.
