Mike Flanagan completed the game without help from the bullpen and second
baseman Ted Martinez touched them all and had 2 RBI as the Gallifrey Time
Lords defeated the Iowa MoonlightGraham by the score of 10 to 3 at The
Cornfield.
Iowa was unable to claim the lead after Gallifrey went ahead in the top of the
7th inning as they scored 3 runs on 1 base hits. The key offensive moment
was provided by Ken Singleton who quieted the home crowd when he lined a
base-hit bringing in two baserunners. Gallifrey banged out 13 hits on the
night.
The victory was credited to Flanagan(2-3) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. Bill Bonham(1-4) was tagged with the loss. He surrendered 9 hits and 3
walks in 7 innings.
