The Colorado 14ers edged the Denver Dingers at Qualcomm Stadium by the score
of 4 to 3.
Colorado scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning. Both teams totaled 9 hits on the
night. The win went to Rick Reed(4-2) who allowed 3 runs in 7 and 1/3
innings. Doug Jones preserved the game for Reed, recording his his 8th save.
John Burkett(3-3) suffered the loss.
Colorado now has a record of 16-19. Denver can't seem to snap out of their
recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 1-9 record over the last couple
weeks.
