Mark Gardner(1-0) got the win despite looking shaky at times. He gave up 4
runs, 5 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings and surrendered 2 'round-trippers'.
Pittsburgh had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Jeff Shaw earned his 2nd save. Tim Wakefield(0-2) was the losing pitcher.
'It's a disheartening loss, no question about it' said Danny Murtaugh 'But we
