Al Oliver had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the Detroit Polecats topped the Zygton
Zabra by a score of 5 to 2 at Double Wide Park.
Zygton fell behind quickly as the Detroit offense came through in the first
inning when they tallied 3 runs on 3 hits. That early run support was enough
for Alan Foster(2-0) and Detroit. After the 2nd inning, neither team was
able to score.
Foster got relief help from Dave Goltz who gained credit for his 1st save.
The loss was charged to Catfish Hunter(1-2). He allowed a few too many
