Rumrunners beat the The Little Feat by the count of 12 to 7.
Savannah took the lead for good in the 2nd inning scoring a single run on 2
hits. After an out was recorded, Ed Ott laced a base-knock. One out later,
Flores was safe on a stolen base. Bill Russell then lined a one-base hit
scoring the run. Savannah finished with 19 hits while The Little ended up
with 14.
The win was credited to Nelson Briles(2-1) who went 6 innings allowing no
runs. Briles got relief help from Dyar Miller who gained credit for his 2nd
save. Fergie Jenkins(0-3) absorbed the loss. He allowed Savannah 6 runs in
