WEB GEMS- Bot 4th: Keith Hernandez robbed Doug Rau of a base hit.

In a close game the Michigan Timbers ended a long winless drought and got by
the The Little Feat by the score of 7 to 5.

Michigan tallied 6 runs in the 3rd inning when they had 3 base hits. That was
all the runs Doug Rau(3-2) needed. The Little threatened in the 9th but
Michigan was able to put down the rally.

Rau got relief help from Gene Garber who gained credit for his 5th save. Jim
Lonborg(0-1) suffered the loss. Michigan scored big getting 6 runs off him
in 3 innings.

'It's been a rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said Rob
Schroder, 'Maybe this will put us back on track.'
