Randy Jones had a strong outing as the Galifrey Time Lords outscored the
ice-cold New Jersey Jackals 3 to 1.
In the bottom of the 5th inning Galifrey scored 2 runs when they had 3 base
hits. Bob Bailey opened up the inning nicely when he banged out a single.
Don Kessinger struck out, unable to help the rally. Garry Maddox then
stroked a one-base hit. Jones came up and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.
John Lowenstein came to the plate and slapped a base-hit driving in two more
baserunners. Galifrey finished with 9 hits while New Jersey ended up with 5.
Jones(3-2) allowed 1 run in 8 innings, and picked up the victory. Jones was
helped out by John Hiller who recorded his 4th save. Lynn McGlothen(1-5)
took the loss.
