In a close game it was the Sterling Silver Sluggers 4, the Gallifrey Time
Lords 2 at The TARDIS.
Sterling came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 8th inning
scoring 2 runs using 2 hits. Edgar Wesley opened up the inning nicely when
he slapped a base-hit. Wesley stole second with some aggressive base
running. Ty Cobb then drew a walk. Hughie Critz followed and he laid down a
sacrifice bunt. Pistol Russell came to the plate and hit a deep fly
resulting in a run. James Brown kept things alive and tripled scoring the
final run of the inning. Although they lost, Gallifrey did out-hit Sterling
12 to 8.
Big Bill Foster(1-1) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Foster got
relief help from Everready Roberts who gained credit for his 1st save.
Charlie Root(4-1) was given the loss.
