The Denver Dingers ended a long winless drought and cruised to a 8 to 3
victory over the Bristol Blasters at Mile High Ballpark.
Bristol never recovered after Denver took the lead in the 5th inning plating
one baserunner utilizing 2 base hits. Denver had a total of 9 hits for the
game.
The win was credited to Dave Goltz(2-2) who went 7 innings allowing 3 runs.
J.R. Richard(1-1) ended up with the loss. Denver knocked him around a bit,
as he gave up 8 runs in 6 innings.
'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed. Man alive, things were getting awfully
grim,' noted Wayne Stanko. 'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins together
and turn things around!'
