In an great finish the Colorado 14ers won in dramatic fashion over the Bumpass
BS by a score of 8 to 7 at Bright Health Park.

Colorado scored the winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 3
base hits.  Bob Bailor led off and he smacked a single.  Guillermo Hernandez
next to the plate and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Mitchell Page then
lined a single resulting in a run.  Page took second on the throw.  Davey
Lopes was next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim.  Roy Howell stepped
into the box and hit a one-base hit giving Colorado the win as 28,377 happy
fans joyfully celebrated.  Colorado totaled 13 hits on the afternoon.

Hernandez(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Mike
Willis(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief.  He surrendered 1 hit and no
walks without retiring a batter.  

'Now that is what I call fun! I just love baseball, especially games like
this, of course,' David Kufkafka offered.  'Everyone at the stadium had a
great time - did you see the fans go wild there at the end?!'
