Shortstop Lou Boudreau cracked a homer and had 4 RBI at The Carousel where the
Tenth Avenue Freezeouts beat the The Little Feat by the score of 6 to
5.
Tenth Avenue scored 2 runs in the decisive 7th inning when they came up with 3
base hits. The key at-bat was by Boudreau who made the Tenth Avenue fans a
happy lot when he smacked a single scoring two baserunners. The Little made
it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
The win went to Joe Hatten(1-2) who allowed 3 runs in 7 innings. Hatten got
help from Jim Konstanty who was credited with his 3rd save. Preacher
Roe(0-1) was given the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits and 2 walks
in 6 and 1/3 innings.
