TEAM RISP- Royalty: 1 for 9 BS: 1 for 8

With the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats, Bumpass BS came from
behind to top Cincinatti Royalty, 4 to 3.

Bumpass had the winning rally in the 9th inning with 3 runs utilizing 2 base
hits. Eric Soderholm led off and got things going when he reached on an
error. Pat Kelly came next and he singled. Kelly took off for second and
slid in with a stolen base. Willie Randolph came up and he would ground out
plating a run. Paul Dade struck out, unable to help the rally. Toby Harrah
added his contribution to the rally and was walked intentionally. Bobby
Murcer next to the plate and he drew a walk to load the bases. Johnny Bench
then doubled resulting in an exciting win for Bumpass and a wild post-game
celebration by the home town fans. Bumpass had only 4 hits for the game.

Rich Gossage(2-0) allowed 1 run in 1 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Steve Mingori(1-1) was the loser in relief. Gossage and Randolph
were really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the great come from behind
victory. As Jason Hinkledire noted, 'A win like this one can do wonders for
a team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy - the fans, the players - even
you guys - it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
