Mark Lemongello(1-2) and Fergie Jenkins(0-4) treated the The Little fans to a
fine pitching duel at Lowell George Park. The Colorado 14ers eventually
emerged as victors over the The Little Feat by the score of 2 to 0.
Colorado jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring one runner.
After two outs Ken Griffey became the sole author of the rally when he
cracked a bases-empty home run. That early scoring was all that Lemongello
needed. The Little went down without a fight in the bottom of the 9th.
Lemongello was helped out by Bruce Sutter who recorded his 3rd save. 'It's
been a rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said David
Kufkafka, 'Maybe this will put us back on track.'
