Babe Ruth lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI as the Savannah
Rumrunners defeated the Mid-World Bumblers by a score of 5 to 3 at The
Wastelands.
Mid-World fell behind quickly as the Savannah offense came through in the
first inning plating an isolated run on 2 base hits. Savannah managed 10
hits in their victory.
Roosevelt Davis(1-1) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Rube
Currie earned the save, his 4th. Joe Shaute(1-2) suffered the loss.
