TEAM RISP- Feat: 5 for 15 Skeeters: 2 for 5
Frank Robinson slammed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the The Little Feat crushed
the Sugarland Skeeters 14 to 4.
Robinson was unconscious out there. While Sugarland pitching was serving
softballs up there for him to hit, the Sugarland fans were serving up some
hardball barbs when he entered the batter's box. But he just used it as fuel
for the fire. He lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the
1st inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 2nd inning, laced a
base-knock plating a run in the 3rd inning and lined a one-base hit knocking
in a run in the 4th inning. The Little finished with 16 hits while Sugarland
ended up with 7.
The win went to Gene Conley(1-0) who allowed 4 runs in 7 innings. Bob
Gibson(2-2) was the loser. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 2 innings of
work.
'I didn't feel that good when I came to the park today,' Robinson said. 'I'm
glad I decided to play!'
