Bill Sherdel allowed just 3 hits as the Hibbing Dylans defeated the Denver
Dingers by the score of 3 to 2 at Mile High Ballpark.
Sherdel(1-0) was virtually untouchable. He didn't give up much, just 3 hits
and 1 walk in 9 innings dropping his ERA from 1.00 to 0.50. The pitchers
took over after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.
Oscar Levis(4-1) was hit with the loss. He gave up only 4 hits and 1 walk in
8 innings. 'He was moving it around and spotting it very well.' Wayne Stanko
said. Sherdel pitched a great game. He deserves all the credit.'
