Bob Watson ripped 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI at Dodger Stadium as the New Jersey
Jackals beat the Bristol Blasters by the count of 11 to 4.

Watson enjoyed a great day at the plate. He clubbed a two-run home run in the
5th inning, ripped a base-knock knocking in a run in the 6th inning and lost
the ball over the fence for three runs in the 8th inning. New Jersey had 11
hits for the game and Bristol had 8.

The victory went to Dick Bosman(1-0) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing 4
runs. Ed Halicki earned his 1st save. Jack Billingham(0-2) ended up with the
loss. He allowed 7 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.

'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Watson said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
